How to wash an old teddy bear....?

My old teddy bear who is 19 years old is used by my daughter to sleep with every night. She is completly in love with him. However, he is getting a bit smelly and I was wondering if anyone knew how to wash him and freshen him up without ruining him. Thanks

put hm in a pillow case and tie it and wash him at a 40c wash

try using dry shampoo and just give him a good brushing rather than wetting him

If he is really precious, try dry cleaning first.

Otherwise put in a pillow case into washing machine on woolens setting with lots of fabric conditioner. Tumble dry on low setting still in pillow case. Fluff up fur with bristle brush.

wrap him up tight in an old pillowcase, put in machine on wool wash...<^><...
