My bras are usually hand-washed, but at camp we will use washing machines. What should I do? I don't want to destroy them in the washing machine.

  1. Just handwash them in a sink and hang them up somewhere private, like in a closet or your towel rack. Or just wash them and take them out instead of drying them in the machine. You don't want to ruin your bras. Have fun!

  2. just take a small bag of hand-wash powder then you can wash them by hand as usual, in the basin, while you're getting ready for bed, then hang them out to dry overnight.

  3. It would not hurt them to wash them in a machine do them with a normal bag of washing, and whatever colour/colours you maybe doing at the time, i always wash my bra's in my machine and they have turned out okay, and i wash them regular and they are still fine.

  4. I always put mine in a lingerie bag and throw them in the washer with my whites. They are fine while doing this. Just don't throw them in without being in a bag. One slipped by me once and the hooks got all wrapped up on a loose string on a shirt. It was a nightmare. You can also use a gentle detergent like Woolite if you're worried about them.

  5. all my bras have always gone in a washing machine and have no problems.

  6. I always do mine in the washer.  If you are worried, try a lingerie bag.  They are mesh bags to put delicate items in so they won't snag on the holes in the washer or other garments.  I often use a  large mesh laundry bag (like the one you would take a load to the laundry mat in) for my more delicate quilts and blankets as well as bras.

  7. You can hand wash them in the bathroom sink.  If you don't have any laundry soap, you can use a small amount of shampoo to wash them and a small amount of hair conditioner to soften like fabric softener.  Rinse well and hang to air dry.

  8. Bras should only be worn up to 100 times before you should invest in a new one anyways, but as far as washing them at camp, could you just wash them in the bathroom sink? I'm sure they will not force you to put your bras in the washing machine. Just make sure you do wash them and keep them clean since you will probably be sweating a lot at camp!
