How to wash electric blanket in front load washer?

Question

Blanket has washing directions on it,but it tells me to soak for 5 min in warm water and detergent,then agitate for 2 min. Drain tub fill with cold water and soak for 5 min again then rince. I cant do that in a front load washer can I ?

I could hand wash it but would rather use washer.

Set the front load washer on delicate or handwash if you have that option and put it in and let it wash as normal.  Since a front load tumbles instead of agitate then it won't damage it like a regular washer will.  I have actually washed my electric blanket on the normal setting and it was just fine.

Suggest using the lowest time setting on your machine and just wait for the five minutes then adjust your machine for a five minute rinse and apply the two minute agitation as per their instructions all you have to do is adjust and babysit your machine while the blanket is being washed, this will be a hassle but washing instructions should be heeded to avoid possible damage to the  wiring inside blanket Good Luck !
