A detailed guide, GUARANTEED to assist anyone who wants to win the x factor. Any thoughts and input would be really appreciated.

I believe that anyone can win the x factor or get very close, with little or no talent. At the least, you will get as far as the live auditions and you may end up working the west end.

Here's how you do it, first, you need to be an average singer.

Then you need a sob story ie, you someone died, or dieing or died and their last wish was for you to go on x factor or even better you are dieing and your dieing wish is to win x factor,

other choice, early aged pregnancy, drug issues, bullied, issues with sexuality, just some story that allows Dermot to say, "This competition is particularly important for (YOUR NAME) because life has been hard for them ever since (ENTER SOB STORY)"

If you think i I am being clinical and harsh, then please watch ANY episode of the show and my sarcastic tutorial will be more than confirmed.

If anyone would like to add something CONSTRUCTIVE as an answer I would really appreciate it.

P.s, I do NOT want to hear some one telling me how rude or sarcastic or heartless I am.

My aim in this question is to expose the sob orientated shallowness of the show and would like to hear from like minded people only.

Anyone with a do-gooder reply to earn themselves some sort of moral pat on the back will be in violation of my right to ask and share an opinion with freedom and as a result be in violation of the Yahoo Answers community guidelines. So think first.

Thank You.

  1. Yup, a teenage crack addict with 5 weans will always win....

  2. **** chill out man!...the only exception to your theory would have to be Leona Lewis.....natural talent!...o.k. she used to work as a receptionist and was waiting for her big break but didn't have a real sob story...don't forget that Simon Cowell is behind all of this and is very switched on to giving the public what they want!

  3. I've thought that quite a few times someone has got thro cos of their story and not their talent, seems like all they need is a death in the family, poverty or a bad past and if they can sing a note in tune their in. Its highly unfair to the people who lead just normals lives who are trying to make it as well and have more talent.

Its done purely for rating to tug on the heart string of the voting public.

  4. Very true although last year had far more sob stories. Rhydian was the only one who did not have a sob story.

  5. You are absolutely right,  its nothing to do with talent and everything to do with showing how compassionate and caring the judges can be,  are we expected to believe that the judges just decided on a whim to question the girl with 5 kids about her life story?  no, simon was holding a piece of paper which was pre-pepared.  a lot of people dont realise that everyone who auditions in front of the judges have already been to audition for the producers a month or so before,  this is where they fish out the sob stories and if its good enough (the story, not the talent) they get a call back,  dont think for a minute that the likes of ant and seb have just walked in off the street, they have been specially selected because they are so bad.

having said that,  i cant stop watching.
