How to wire sub and amp?

Hi, having a bit of trouble wiring my sub how do i wire it to get the best out of the amp and the sub

i have a MB Quart pwh304 Dual 4 Ohm sub rms handling 500 watts

Rockford 2 channel amp Bridged, 4 ohms: 400 watts x 1

Easy.....hook the power wire directly to the battery.

OK, if you have the power/ground wires ran and your remote wire and RCAs then all that's left is the sub to box wiring

one DVC 4ohm sub can be wired to give you impedance's (ohms) of 2 or 8ohms at the amp (here are the diagrams http://www.the12volt.com/caraudio/woofer...

so.......... you need a different amp

any amp with about 500watts RMS @ 2 or 8ohms (not 4ohms)

all of these amps are CEA-compliant which means that they have been tested and produce or exceed the advertised RMS wattage with minimum distortion
