How to wire trolling motor!!!!!?

Question

How can i wire my 24 volt trolling motor ? But i have a 36 volt system!!! Is it possible to hook up all three togather to make some type of series to get longer use?

Yup...you need an external voltage regulator.

Run the wiring to the 36 volt system you just need a voltage reglatior that knocks the power down  to 24 volts to run the trolling motor. As long as the entire 36 volt system is recieving a equal draw from the regulatior you will be fine.

You need a voltage converter to keep the batteries stable on the 36 volt system.The speed control is not designed for 36v.I just went through this on a 24v truck that had a lot of 12v equipment in the cabin.Your battery bank needs to charge evenly or you will cook one of the batteries.It would be cheaper to buy a 36v trolling motor.

Mr Wolf is correct! If you try this without a converter you will fry your batteries or your electronics since you aren't sure what you are doing!
