How to witness the working of windows updates?

i mean can v notice any change in working of windows(increase in speed anythin lik tat) so that v r assured this update was worth taking!!

Most Windows updates are either security patches or bug fixes. I don't think there are any updates that visually improve the "speed" of your PC.

So I don't see any real meaning in measuring the performance of your system before and after an update.

Just like any closed source software, you just have to trust in Microsoft and take the updates at face value!

In case you are really curious, you can get Sandra 2008 (shareware) from SiSoftware [http://www.sisoftware.net/] and do a system benchmark before and after you install your updates.
