How to word a baby shower invite?

I'm throwing a baby shower for someone.

The baby shower is a breakfast/brunch at a restaurant.

I wanted it to be just woman.

How do I say that?

Since its just women, do I say its a baby shower for the mom and dad, or just the mom's name?

Do you think people will be offended if its just women?

Also, since I need a headcount, I'll need to know if anyone is bringing a guest or a child, how do I say that?

Should they be bringing a guest or a child?

  1. Perhaps when they rsvp remind them that it will be just the girls.  Do you want them to bring a guest or child- that part is upp to you? If so just ask them... you dont really need to put it on the invitation.

i am having an all girl baby shower and my partner is having a little thing with the boys.  I dont think ppl will get offended

  2. have them rsvp and when they do that, have them tell you how many people their having with them. then just keep count.

and just put the mom's name on the invitation.

people won't get offended. most guys don't like baby showers anyway.

  3. its a girl/boy!!! you are invitead to my baby's shower!!!
