Question:

How to work being a single dad?

Well I had to move back in with parents. Mother works all day and stepdad can't work due to disablity.

They said I don't have to work because they make enough to provide, but I need to do it. I have $2,000 in fines, my car is broke down, and parents won't help with that.

I don't want to rely on mom to watch the kid because she is exhausted after work, and I can't trust the father because he can barely move and my kiddo crawls like crazy.

Only family I have. I don't want to go to daycare but if I have to what kind of programs do they offer? Any job ideas?

  1. it depends on what state you are in for programs. best places to check:: loca human service department., health department, local area schools (even if your child doesn't go, they might be able to direct you)

as far as jobs- if you don't find a decent daycare for a decent price, look into private care. they offer the same things, and sometimes are better, because there isn't as many kids. or last resort, work 3rd shift , while the baby is sleeping.

there are alot of jobs that either have daycare, or you can bring your child to work (depending on age)

where i live: hospitals all have in house daycare, they take it out of your check and it isnt bad (be a valet car parker??)

all the gyms have in house daycare-work at the front desk or as a janitor??

colleges also areound here let you bring your kids or they have in house. (again janitor, or even a secretary to a teacher or an aide)

im not sure what you are qualified for, but another option is to get a job that gives you alot of hours in one day, instead of a steady 5 day a week. there are daycares that stay open all day & overnigh. to leave your child longer during the day instead of more days a week is usually cheaper. good luck!!

  2. Try to find a job that offers in house daycare it is becoming very popular

  3. Try to get a job that is 3rd shift. Then put your child down before you go to work so that your Mom can be there but not have to do much and can sleep. You may still need to hire a sitter for a few hours a day so you can rest but you would be home also in case of emergency.

If you really want a daycare then I would try one at your local church. They can sometimes charge you for only a few hours at a time or a full day charge. The ones in churches are usually better priced then the buisness types.

  4. construction. you'll stay in shape, and get hard earned money.
