I am not new to the guitar because I have been playing rhythm guitar for almost 7 years but I am new to "soloing." I have come across a couple of problems and was hoping someone could help! I have to write a guitar part, or "solo" if you will, over the chord progression to the song Healer by Planetshakers. The chord progression is D-Bm-G-A. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  1. Try soloing in D Major Pentatonic which is the same as B minor Pentatonic.

  2. I could just tell you to go up and down D pentatonic but im not going to

im gonna tell you to go download a program called "Guitar Pro"

you can choose the scale you want to solo in

and it will how you every note in that scale on a computer animated guitar

its so much easier to make solos with it

and song, full songs are so easy when the notes are right in front of you

    hope i helped
