Question:

How to write a letter to an agent?

I would like to write to The Talented Group in Oxford Street, London and I would like some suggestion on how I would write this letter. In what ways could I explain that it's important that I need an agent?

The reason is is that I want to write to Walt Disney Picture Motion Studios for some ideas I have for films, but they don't take any material unless it's from an agency, otherwise it would be more likely they'll take it in.

Any suggestions of what I could put in my letter?

That would be very helpful! Thanks!

  1. Motion Picture Studios cannot,  accept unsolicited material regarding ideas for programming.

Keep ideas you have to yourself, to avoid law suits with Motion Picture Companies.

Your letter, to studios, will be read by the receptionist and put in the trashcan.

  2. I've never really heard of being able to simply write to Walt Disney Picture Motion Studios to give ideas. I suggest that you look for job opportunities in your criteria at Walt disney Picture Motion Studios. You may want to look into being a producer, in order to actualy get your voice heard.

You can't just put your foot in this industry. You need to be trained and acknowledged as a professional who made these ideas up.

But if you do insist, try calling the agency and asking them about your idea of giving Disney creative ideas, and ask them about submission. With that they will give you what you need to know. Usually, if they ask you to write a letter, it should be short and sweet. Straight to the point but in a polite and professional way.

    Hope it helped!

  3. Dear Agent,

Please represent me, or else I'll just end up bothering people with ridiculous questions on the internet.
