My friend is doing a speech and needs help. So far she has this:

Good Morning _________School! Welcome back to a new school year. I am so happy to welcome you back on behalf of the school and myself. ........................................... I know that there will be challenges but if you work harder you will reach farther. So....are you guys ready to rock?

She needs something funny and cool please. We need something at the dotted areas like something about " the end of 7th grade but just the beginning of 8th" please help it's due tomorrow! thanks

  1. instead of rock at the end (which is extremely cheesy), say kick some *** or something along those lines...

And don't make it long. just make it short since no one will care (even the teachers) and your not getting graded.

    good luck

  2. Hello. Here are some websites for you, my friend. No really. You are my friend.

Your introduction should grab the audience's attention, perhaps with an amusing anecdote or an interesting quote relevant to your topic. Then you should proceed to give your thesis statement, and then, if it's a long or complicated speech, provide your audience with a roadmap. If you have been given a time limit, practice your speech - out loud - and time it. Cut out unnecessary material if your speech is too long. Unless your assignment says otherwise, don't worry if the speech is short of the time limit. The speech should be just long enough to cover the material thoroughly.
