I don't agree.  Kids do stuff and it isn't necessarily a reflection on their parents.  Alot of times parents don't really know all the things their children are doing.  I agree they should be more responsible and be aware of the things their children are doing but alot of them aren't.  Kids will lie and do things that their parents don't know about.  We are all responsible for our own actions and even though they are children they should have been taught right from wrong by their parents.  I think the problem is that some parents are really negligent in their duties as parents and teaching their kids right from wrong.

Parents are the ones that teach their children right from wrong, so holding them responsible is like punishing them for not being good teachers.

What about mentally disturbed and completely uncontrollable children?

Just the couple thoughts that popped into my head.
