  1. It depends what the book is about. For instance you know the story of the Wizard of Oz right? The theme of that story is of coarse "There's no place like home"

On a little farm in Kansas that Dorthy called her home

There was no room for her singing or place to call her own

Then a big storm came her way and tore the place apart

And somewhere over the rainbow her life began to start

In Munchkin land they granted her with magic ruby shoes

And the wicked witch told her I'll get you and your little dog too

On the yellow brick road she traveled singing a little ditty

For the only way back home was to get to the Emerald City

Soon joined with friends, a scare crow, tin man, and lion

off to see the wizard until angry monkeys came flyen

While fending for their life they found out who they where

And all of Dorthy's friends where all there to save her

At the end of Dorthy's journey she learned a great detail

when awaken from a dream that was more then a fairy tale

All the people she loved where there to call her own

On a little farm in Kansas that Dorthy called her home

This is kind of a crude poem, but hopefully you get the point. You take what the story is about and try to find the moral and then right a poem about the story with that theme.
