actually it would be like 2H2 + O2 ----> 2H2O

first you need to know the reactants and then the product  and at last balance them

for example oxygen reacting with hydrogen (reatants) to get product (water)

H2 + O2 ---- H2O

and now balance  them

H2 + 1/2 O2 ----- H2O
