How to write songs on a keyboard

i just want to try writing a song on the keyboard. with lyrics and everyhting. i've been playin piano for 9 years and i'm 16 now, but i just dont know where to start. any ideas?

It depends on the quality of your keyboard, some midi keyboard has memory to store the music you play, these keyboards not only let you save the recording midi file to a floppy disk and edit it, then you can use the midi file on the pc or web.

If your keyboard has midi in and out and wanted to connect to a pc, you need a cable to connect it to the game port of your sound card OR a newer configuration, a midi cable to a converter then to a USB port of your pc. On the pc you still need the software to capture the signal, here's one of the freeware anvilstudio at http://www.anvilstudio.com , then on the pc you can arrange your song, or add new voices/channels to the song, depends on the software, you might also allow to put word, print music score, add remix the song with wav file and other sound effects too.
