Question:

How to write the best editorial?

I've never written an editorial before, and am not feeling that confident about doing so. My budget is low however, so it is down to me.

Are there any do's and don'ts?

thanks

  1. You'll be just fine.

    DO:

-Write about a subject you feel passionate about

-Research your topic before writing, and include lots of factual information in your column

-Feel free to include quotes or interviews

    -Have a strong central thesis

-Make it clear to readers where you stand

-Acknowledge, and rebut if possible, opposing viewpoints

    DON'T:

-Branch off into multiple unrelated topics

    -Resort to logical fallacies

    -Plagiarize, or make things up
