Question:

How to write this as a hypothesis?

I did a physics prac about Galileo's idea that horizontal velocity will not impact vertical velocity, which is to say that i rolled a ball from a ramp, off a table so it had initial velocity before it fell to the ground, then i dropped a ball from the same height and I measured the time it took for them to reach the ground by using a strobe like and a camera. I don't know how to write a hypothesis for my report, can any one help or suggest what I should write?

Thanks guys

  1. no sorry i didn't do so well in physics.

but that pretty cool. what was your result? were the velocities the same?

  2. If a ball is rolled from a ramp off a table and another ball is dropped from the same height before it reaches the ground, then horizontal velocity will not impact vertical velocity.

  3. I think Galileo was  totally overrated and a complete dumb a*s and I am a lot cleverer than him and I can prove it by......

I do not know much about physics but any thesis which attacks a hallowed icon will definately get their attention.

  4. The velocities won't be the same. You have to account for friction on the ramp.
