Corporate objectives should be ideally written after due consideration of the corporate strategy and the intent of the corporation in the future.

The objectives should be such that they can be measured in terms of Key Performance Indicators, which should be SMART (Specific; Measurable; Achievable; Result-oriented or Relevant; Time-bound) and therefore can be measured.
