  1. Well, everyone has their own techniques. Here is what I do:

First I make a copy of the background.

Click the "enter quick mask mode" at the bottom of the tools palete on the left side.

Then I use paint brush to color all the skin in the picture.

Then, switch back out of quick mask mode. You will see it selected, but you need to inverse the selection.

Then, adjust brightness and contrast to a little extreme. Like the highlights will be very bright and shadows will be very dark.

Then go to filters > blur > guassian blur

play with the guassian blur slider until it looks nice and smooth.

NOW...I get the eraser tool and erase lines that need to be more defined and not smooth, like around the eyebrows, the nose, lips, and edges of the face, arms, etc. Make the eraser like 20% opacity and work up from there so it's not all fake looking.

Sometimes I stop there if it looks great. Sometimes I will use the layers opacity and set it to 75% or I will change the blend mode to soft light or something like that. You can play with those settings a little until it looks right.

  2. use the clone stamp to get rid of major blemish areas, then use the blur tool to smooth ur skin and get rid of pores ♥
