  1. tell ur parents 2 find a tutor 4 you

  2. Swimming is very easy, I can give you lessons just email me.

I basically had all the qualifications to be a lifeguard when I was 5, they would not let me because I was too small.

There are some basics you must always remember:

Don't panic- slow controlled movements are far better than flailing around like a panicked idiot.

Start easy- If you don't feel comfortable just jumping in the deep end start shallow and just learn to keep yourself up without touching the bottom then move out.

Water is a powerful force that deserves your respect- Know the tides and other forces of water and what to expect. Know what to do if you end up in a rip tide.

  3. Wise thing you have decided to become serious and want to learn swimming. Tell your parents to arrange a coach to teach you one-on-one or a mini group. That way you will learn twice as fast, and you will get your strokes more accurately due to better attention. Learn the breast-stroke first, as it is easy and uses the least amount of energy compared to the other styles. If you have focus and passion you are able to swim even in a few sessions, within 30 days or so. Persevere and dont give up. Get one or two friends or relatives to join you so you get better motivation.

    Best of luck!

  4. Your never too old to take lessons.  I'm twelve and I just recently learned how to like a few months ago! Don't be afraid to ask someone for help you shouldn't be afraid!

  5. Hi. I am about your age. Im 13. I have leaned to swim and it is generally quite easy. All you need to do is nip down to your local swimming pool. They can give you lessons there. It can be quite expensive, so i would ask your parent/guardian before signing up for anything. Once you get started, its quite easy and comes naturally. I promise :-D. Also, something which could help you once you learn the basics, is that the government are starting a campaign to make it so that all children under 16 can swim at any pool for free. This will not be effective immediately, but might be in soon. So thats my answer. Hope it helps you! If it helps you then gr8! Send me a message if it does! :-D

  6. If you don't want to take group lessons than explain to your parents that you really want to learn and sign up for private lessons.  You can ask the front desk at your recreation center for a form or how you would sign up for one.  It's just you and the instructor who will be trained and there to help you, so you will have no reason to be embarrassed.

  7. Actually there a lot of strokes and kicks to do but the basic is the flatter kick which you have to consequently put your feet up and down then the freestyle, you move your hands in a circular motion while breathing then the other then again...Done!

  8. Your best bet is to consult someone who already knows how to swim. You really can't explain how to swim over there internet. You aren't too old to take classes either. :o)

  9. ever watch a dog in water,  copy its movements - easy

  10. Go to a highschool swim team.. or somewhere where they teach swim lessons.. when i was teaching there were thirteen year old kids learnign how to swim.. trust me theres classes for all ages!

  11. well I wish you luck on the swimming lessons, you could check at the local boys and girls club, or at the Y or some place like that to see if they offer classes to "older" kids who have some of the basics but want to learn more!!!

Just don't do what happened to me.... I was pushed out of a boat by my sister when I was only 7yrs old in the lake when we were fishing,,, back in the 1970's I learned to swim QUICK,,,, and my dad pulled me out of the lake as I was being taken out by some waves.... My sister sat ther and laughed at me!!! She is still a pain to this very day!!!

So check out your local clubs and maybe check out for private lessons if you need too as well!! Because everyone should know how to swim!!!!!!!!!! I have taught all 4 of my children to swim,,,, and now teaching my grand daughter!!

  12. I would consider taking swimming lessons.

  13. i learnt in the sea, i dont reccomend it get lessons from your local swimming baths everybody should learn to swim

then get yourself surfing cuz :)

  14. I really don't think anyone can teach you how to swim on YA.  You could get enrolled in a swim class at the Y or someplace where they can teach you from the start.
