I'm pretty short and fairly good at volleyball, but my coach won't give me a shot. I've dropped lots hints. How do I convince her?

  1. I would say you will have to earn your spot by working the very hardest in practice.  In the off season, work hard on conditioning, Skills, and quickness.  If your short, fucus extra efforts on passing/defense.  DS or Libero.  Good luck

  2. Play your best.thats all i really know.and believe in yourself.im in the same kind of problem like your.except we have cuts due to shorts on uniforms. and i like volleyball alot.. but im not that good.. but im fairly good and im afraid ill be one who gets dropped.altho she said she is doing it based on how we act. and grades. but i still think i will be one who is dropped cuzz i said i dont think it will be fair if the people who are in basketball make it and can do both considerng me( a cheerleader) had to quit cheerleading so we could do volleyball. and if i dont make it i will be really sad :( and ill cry  :'(

  3. play ur hardest in practice. work really hard. pass correctly, dig the ball, serve and spike hard. during pregame practice have a good attitude and show wat u can contribute in the game. u might get subbed in when one of the players isn't on their game when u r.

  4. i love volleyball... but unfortuanally i had the same problem you just have to keep trying and show her how well you can do, that just cuz ur kinda short doesn't mean you can't play as well as everyone else

    hope this helps

  5. ATTITUDE!!!! ALWAYS HAVE A GOOD ATTITUDE!!!! My coach will play everyone who has a good attitude except during really important games. ALWAYS HUSTLE DURING PRACTICE!!!!! run for the ball. Coaches LOVE that and that's one of the biggest things. CONCENTRATE!!!!focus and show her how dedicated you are!!!! HELP OUT!!!not suck-up help-out but just considerate. CHEER FOR YOUR TEAMMATES!!!

I think this will really help!! :]]

  6. First, demonstrate your ability in practice.  If you've got it, you have to show it.  Then be direct, and ask your coach to put you in.

  7. I think your best bet is to be up front and ask her if you can at least show her what you can do in practice and maybe she will give you a chance in the game.  Otherwise right a note to her and let her know how you feel.
