How to you improve your self-esteem?

I have very low self-esteem b/c basically I think I'm ugly and not a skinny girl, and e/o else in my school is! I feel ashamed of myself just going out of the house, b/c i think ppl are thinking how ugly i am. what can i do to improve myself?

  1. well it isn't your fault you think your ugly. god made us in different ways so tat we can be happy. it doesn't matter what others think, it's your own thought that really counts. whatever they say don't listen to them. ppl only make comments about others is because they are unsecure about themselves. you are unquie in your own ways just know that inside.


  2. i have low esteem two....... very very low self-esteem. all sometime when it just to much.... i just go and do something fun...like go to a friends house and talk about boy to the future....to watch movies and eating ice cream! but if you really think your not skinny eat better food and go running everyday.... and eat healthier, if you think your ugly wear make up. do w/e you have too to make yourself feel better. if you have any other idea let me know!

  4. You do have low self-esteem. Has anyone told you you are ugly or is this your own opinion? I was so skinny when I was in school. Not only that but I had a mop of dark curly hair, when the rest of the girls had the bob haircut! I was out of place for sure. Don't put your self down. You must have some good qualities and I am sure you are not ugly. Most of all learn not to get hurt by anyone who is mean to you. Hold your head up and walk proud. Think of good things about your self, I am sure also that you would make a good friend. I like you even though I don't know you. Be good to yourself, you are your own best friend.     Poppy

  5. Sometimes the simplest things such as painting your nails or wearing a little lip gloss and /or outfit makes you feel like a million bucks. Having self esteem comes within. Try grabbing a sheet of paper and write down all of your good traits. Everyday and when you are feeling down, look at this sheet. Make copies and keep it with you.

    So what if you are not a size zero. If everyone were the same, we would all be boring. Take time out to do things that make you happy. If it is looking at a magazine or watching a funny movie, then do it. Focus on the positives and not the negatives. It will take some time b/c accomplishing a goal does not happen over night but in a while, your self esteem will improve.

    So start calling yourself beautiful b/c if you don't, no one else will. Good luck. I hope this helped. :)
