How toi work LG surround sound system to play not just sound through dvd's but through tv and xbox 360?

I can play surround sound on the dvd's using only the component cables I got in the LCD package, but have no luck with surround sound on normal tv and xbox, do i need any other cables?

Yes, you need more cables. The best way would be to run (1) Digital Audio cable from your TV or Cable box to your surround sound tuner and (1) Digital Audio cable from Xbox 360 to your surround sound tuner.  If you don't have digital in or multiple digital inputs on your surround sound tuner, you may have to use RCA cables, which will lose a ton of quality.  If you only have one digital input on your tuner, I suggest hooking up the 360 for true surround sound gaming....what an incredible experience!  TV with digital audio is not that big of a deal to me.....but use it if you have the extra inputs.
