How tough did John McCain think he was shooting missle's at Vietnam civillians from a jet?

How brave is it to shoot at people from up in the air going really fast with almost against a technicalogically inferior country who couldn't defend itself especially all the civiliians mothers and children who were on the ground gettin blown away by Air force machine guns an missles like john mccain had

McCain was shot down by innocent civilians on the ground?  I'm sorry but my dad was a pilot in Vietnam and shot down. He spent 5 and a half years in various prison camps there. Some of that time in the same camp as McCain.  They never targeted civilians.  The targets they bombed were already defined as hostile before they left on their missions.  That is how they were shot down when attempting to bomb their targets.

   But if you want to know brave ..spend over five years in a Vietnamese prison camp.  My father was so poorly treated, he died early from the years of starvation, torture, and lack of protein.  If you had spent years like that, then you might be qualified to know brave.

Don't fool yourself; the north Vietnamese had Russian built, anti-aircraft SAM sites all over the place and a whole fleet of MIG's... If the USA was so 'technologically superior', then why did we lose?
