How tourist-y is Havelock, NC?

  1. Really not that touristy.  It's all relative, though.  I don't think it's very touristy, compared to Myrtle Beach, but I suppose it's a bit more touristy than similar sized areas in NC, because of the location.  It's about a half hour drive to the Crystal Coast beaches on the east and New Bern to the west (both of which are tourist areas).


  2. Not very, it is close to tourist spots but being mainly military, hotels are simple and around $100 a night.  There are things to do and see in New Bern, a little North and Moorehead and further South.
