How trusting should I be of the cubbies to store my personal belongings on while on rides?

Because I'm going to an amusement park tomorrow and I have no idea where to put my phone (which I'm hesitant about leaving in the car just in case I need to call my parents or get separated from my friends while I am there). I can put my money in my shoe or something...but I have no pockets with zippers or little buttons or anything. I don't want someone stealing my Blackberry if I put it in one of those little cubbies..plus I'll no place for my sunglasses. Idk what I should do...

I don't want to pay for a locker because I'd like to have my phone on me.

  1. I have not heard of someone's belongings being stolen from a cubby at any amusement park I've visited, I have seen ride operators monitor them. Usually there are 2-3 cubbies, and for instance train 1 puts their belongings in bin 1, train 2 puts their belongings in bin 2, etc. while they ride. I try to be one of the first to make it back to the cubby so I can retrieve my stuff. I have left sunglasses, Roxy flip flops and an enV in the cubbies and they were all still there when I got back.

Try not to worry, and have a good time.

  2. You could probably leave the sunglasses in the cubbies, but not the Blackberry. My suggestion to you is to buy some shorts or pants with zippers or buttons because in the long run, it will be worth it.

  3. Don't worry! :)

The cubbies are safe!  If you're afraid of other visitors stealing them, I'm sure the workers there will make sure its there, plus, if you put money if your shoe and you're not worried, then just put  your phone in your shoes.  Its best if you ahve phone w/ you though, just in case you get lost or need to make a call.

  4. we survived 1000s of years without cellphones you can live a few hours without it. The cubbies i never ever trust all it takes is 5 seconds and your prized possesions are gone with the wind. Plan ahead a spot to meet with your parents or friends. If you do have valuables that you dont want to leave you need pants/shorts with a zipper or button pocket. Treat it like everyone is trying to steal from you and you will never lose anything.

  5. I bring a back pack(small) and when its my turn to get in line for the ride a put it near an operator. That way they know it's mine and when i come back nothing is stolen. Maybe you could try a draw string backpack. And put your phone in a zip lock bag.

    (:
