  1. here is a diagram to show you your different wiring options  http://www.the12volt.com/caraudio/woofer... Voice coils wired in parallel

not a good match, you need an amp that is CEA-compliant which means that it makes or exceeds the advertised RMS wattage with minimum distortion- and with that non CEA-compliant amp you would be lucky to get half of the advertised RMS wattage and it would more than likely be distorted

wire it to 4ohms or find a CEA-compliant amp that is stable at 1ohm (i know Rockford Fosgate amps are 1ohm stable)

here are the top CEA-compliant brands

    Alpine

    Bazooka

    Blaupunkt

    Clarion

    Eclipse

    Infinity

    JBL

    JL Audio

    Kenwood

    Kicker

    MTX

    Pioneer

    Polk Audio

    Rockford Fosgate

    Sony

  2. . Series or Parallel circuit?

BUT what makes you think that will help?  Usually those components are made to work alone. i think.

  3. If you can't return the amp, try & return the sub.  A dual 4 ohm sub would work best since you can wire the two voice coils in parallel to a 2 ohm load, which is perfect for that amp.
