  1. Hmmm... the chile rellenos I like are battered and deep fried, stuffed with a cheese mixture.

Yes, they are probably high in fat, but they are very good.

Reasonable to eat?  Yes, but I wouldn't eat them every day though.  Every once in awhile is good.

  2. Terrible, they burn like heck!

  3. Yeah, they're bad for you. They're fried bread and cheese basically. Anything fried is not good for you.

  4. do you have them 24 / 7 ???

    I would say NO

    You love them so

there is no stress for you to enjoy your food

Therefore they are excellent for you..

BUT if you continue to stress at the nonsense of,, fat ,,calories,, cabs,, you will die

Most make it past 50,,, just some 70,,  only few  at 80.. and single individuals 100..

The most important thing IS YOU have fun..☺

Do not accept nonsense from food psychotics..

  5. It depends what they're stuffed with, and how they are cooked.

If they're stuffed with, let's say, a creamy cheese filling, and then deep-fried, then you're gonna be getting a lot of fat.

The chilis themselves are vegetables, low in fat and high in vitamins & minerals and fiber and all those good things. But I'm not sure you'd really want the naked chili pepper ....

  6. Like all food, eat them in moderation. Having them every morning is not going to do you well; but then the same can be said of bacon and eggs.

  7. i think it depends on how many you eat, i usually have 6-min.....!

  8. I would conclude that they are not too good for you--spicy, lots of cheese, sauce, etc. Sorry that I can't give you exact numbers, but I think if they are enjoyed sporadically, then there shouldn't be a problem. I guess what I'm trying to say is that they are low in healthiness, but very, very high in deliciousness.

  9. Chili rellenos is not an unhealthy dish by itself since both chili and stuffed fill have nutritional value.

The unhealthy part comes with deep fry so it depends on the frying technique and the type of cooking oil used. Higher oil temperatures prevent chilli's coat absorb too much fat.

Some ovens like the Infrawave can fry them with no fat at all.

When it comes to calories and carbs it depends on the fill. Bear in mind a chili relleno can be fixed with only fresh cheese, chopped steak, rice, or a variety of fills depending on the restaurant or recipe.

I'm leaving a few nutrtion facts in the source box below

  10. although high in fat, they are a lot healthier than stavation

  11. Well it depends on how the relleno is made.  The Americanized crispy version is a wonton wrapper filled with cheese, and a pepper thrown in for good measure then deep fried.  Not so healthy.

Original rellenos are actual poblano peppers filled with cheese, then dipped in a light batter and fried.  They are still battered and fried, but are a bit lighter.

It's not the healthiest entree to be sure, but they are yummy and having them once in a while shouldn't be an issue.

  12. They are usually high in fat, but you can make low fat versions at home.

  13. Chiles rellenos are high in everything but they're super delicious..

Just imagine how bad they are though, they're stuffed with cheese, beef,etc..then they're dipped in flour then dipped in eggs then fried in oil for a really long time...

I dont know how unhealthy you think that is..They're pretty bad..but pretty bomb!!! yummmm, I'm going to make some right now :)
