How unlucky has Johan Santana been this season?

6 games this season his relievers have blown the lead for him. He would be 15-7 instead of 9-7 if the relievers had done their jobs.

I was thinking that he shouldn't had been traded because when your in the AL you have a better chance of getting the win because they have better hitters than the NL.

He has had a very tough run this year, every year a pitcher has a few outings where things do not work out after they leave but Johan is definitely taking the brunt of the damage this year.  He has consistently pitched well and not been able to get the support any pitcher would need.

He is very unlucky. It's like it always happens to him, and no other starter pitcher on the team.

Yea, It's completely ridiculous. He has had a bunch of good starts only to be ruined by the bullpen or lack of run support.

Every year there are a handful of pitchers having a good year but can't get any run support, and this year Johan Santana is at, or near, the top of the list.

This is very true. The poor guy has had various gems ruined due to poor defense, lack of run support , and a shaky Mets bullpen.
