How unrelaible is wikipedia?

it seems like wikipedia gives a lot of detailed information and then poisons all that information by give false information about little important things like events which happened in someones life or someone's ethnicity etc. what do you all think, is wikipedia really reliable?

It is a site that everyone can contribute to. People use it to have flame wars and Edit wars...

It is useful but not reliable all the time.

It is a mixed blessing.  Yes it possible to put anything onto it.  I have corrected many articles simply because the English was bad.  I had a friend put wrong information on there too just to prove his point that the information is not reliable.  But information that has its sources, with links to other sites can be very useful. In short, it is a good place to start but if you are unsure, be sure to verify.
