How use a Narco Escort II as a base station radio?

I took it out of my airplane and replaced it with a King KX-170B. Can I use the Narco as a base station radio?

I suppose you could add a power supply, antenna, speaker and microphone to allow your Narco to operate from a fixed location.  You will need an FCC radio station license to legally transmit on aviation frequencies from a fixed base station.
