  1. the coelom of an animal can tell a lot about how complex the animals evolutionary development is. there are three types of coeloms:

Acoelom: The word "Acoelom" means "No Coelom".Organisms that lack a body cavity are called "Acoelomates". These are the least complex of organisms. An example of this would be the Family Platyhelminthes, otherwise known as Flatworms.

Pseudocoelom: The word "Pseudocoelom" means "False coelom". Organisms that have a kind of  "false" body cavity, between the outside and inside of their bodies. Organisms that have false body cavities are called "Pseudocoelomates". An example of this would be the family Nematoda, otherwise known as Roundworms.

Coelom: This refers to organisms that possess a true body cavity. These are referred to as "Coelomates", and are the most complex of organisms. An example of this would be Homo Sapiens, or humans haha.

By studying the complexity of an organisms coelom, we can determine its adaptations for survival, how evolutionarily developed it is, and how intelligent it may possibly be.

    hope that helps!
