How vicious should we attack thieves?

Say a guy breaks into your home and is chavin away your TV and you and your older bro hear it and sneak down. I got me air rifle and air rifled his meat head, then me and my little sister got the steel poles out and steel poled him for about 15 minutes into a state of regret with the first swipe twanging his nacker bags. Now after that we shoved him into the trunk of a car, took him to a huge community trash bin and dumped his sorry a** there. After I couldn't help agree, yes someone breaking into ur home is firstly scary because u don't know what they may do to our sister/ur family but also i did feel perhaps we were a little OTT. But we were proper livid! Justice or OTT? What would you do?

think i would probably do the same, i once beat the c**p outta someone for falling through my front door drunk, i just see red and flew for him lol i had to be pulled off of him, found it more scary that i could flip like that but i put it down to motherly instinct to protect my children.

anyone who breaks into your home where your family live is fair game in my opinion i have a bat under my bed and i would use it till i knew me and my family where safe even it ment killing them

Just hard enough so they not burgle your home again. Because if you kill him then you be charged with what ever it classed as in your country?? But should you disable him for good then he be getting government assistance for rest of his life so please what ever you do do not go over board.

That depends on the person. I would do a lot worse than you if any fool broke into my house.

Legally (at least in the UK) youre only supposed to use the minimum necessary force to subdue the intruder.

I have to say though that I would probably kick the living shiiiiiit outta anyone that came into my home uninvited in the middle of the night!

I am of the opinion that this is a Jackanory......

However, if it were me - I would use reasonable force - what that may be is up to me - it cannot be proven - if I felt my life was in danger - the person breaking in would be severely injured - him or me - I choose me to preserve.

but I think if you walk into another person's house... you're taking the chance that they could be totally crazy... so, you get what's coming to you...

but I probably wouldn't kill anyone unless they were pointing a gun at me and I somehow got the drop on them...

Am in 2 minds about this - after all property is only items, YOU are the most important thing. So protect yourself first, you are allowed to use "reasonable force".
