    basque country : independant (them own language) same people as the spanish basque coutnry

  5. France was originally part of Ancient Gaul which was controlled by the Romans. After the fall of the Roman Empire,Germanic tribes started coming into the region and settling it by the fifth century.

      It was finally formed into a nation by the ninth century.

  6. Thousands of years ago, cavemen moved to explore new places, and then settled.  There are some caveman's paintings in caves in France, at the caves of Chauvet Pont d'Arc, France,  some of the very oldest surviving "artwork" in the world.

    Cavemen were the first people to discover France.  These paintings that were found in caves shows that caveman lived there 32000 years ago.   Much later on in history, only several hundreds of years ago, other people from other tribes and other places invaded and settled too, like Celts, Franks, Goths, Romans,...
