Last time I was with my boyfriend, I urinated and showered 20 minutes after we had s*x, and I STILL came down with a bladder infection. If it weren't for antibiotics, I'd be in the hospital right now. How did women cure themselves in the old days?

  1. They didn't. Granted, there might have been some type of herb to ease the symptoms, but back then, woman didn't speak of such matters. It was unheard of for a man other then a woman's husband to see her unclothed. They also probably didn't know what a urinary tract infection was.  If they were in pain in that area, they would just deal with it until it went a way. It would be too shameful and too taboo for a woman to go to a doctor for help.
