How was forestry introduced as a science?

It wasn't introduced.  Rather, it gradually developed as people utilized forests and learnt things.

I am not sure.  It is a living thing.  Biology is a life science.  Why don't you ask this in biology or botany? Geology studies more in rock types, plate tectonics, glaciation, etc.  We are not as keen on biology.

Actually asking this in botany, they could tell you. They are required to know about plant life and where their science came from.
