  1. I loved my cruise experience.  We went to Mexico (of course it was during Hurricane Rita).  We spent an extra 3 days on the cruise just going around in circles in the ocean.  The shows and the casino and OMG the food was fantastic.

I loved the midnight dessert, we went in our robes (as did most of the people).  I spent a lot of my time poolside or in the hot tub.  The dining room was wonderful, we all dressed up and had a wonderful time.    (I gained 10 lbs)

  2. I have been on three Princess cruises on three different ships to Alaska, to Panama and the Eastern Caribbean.  My opinion is pretty much the same  as the others who have said great ships beautifully decorated; great cabins, especially the balcony cabins; great food, service, shows, and staff.  Everything on all three of my cruises was first class.  You cannot go wrong with a Princess cruise.

As far as destinations, it depends upon what you would like.  If you want beach time and water related activities like snorkel, scuba, jet ski, para-sailing, swimming with the dolphins or stingrays, shopping, sunning and just relaxing in a warm climate, then go on a Caribbean cruise.  If you want to do a lot of sightseeing, like the Vatican City and Coliseum in Rome, or Florence and the Tower of Pisa in Italy, then do a Mediterranean cruise.  If you want to see beautiful scenery and relax go on a cruise to Alaska, or on to New England/Canada.

If you are planning your honeymoon this summer after your wedding you should ship the Caribbean since that's hurricane season and go to Alaska, or the Mediterranean.  WE did our honeymoon cruise to Alaska and loved it.  Whatever you decide to do you should book very early, like 9 to 12 months before your planned cruise date.  Also, be flexible on your cruise date if you want to get a good price because the best price may not be the day or week after your wedding.  Consider going weeks or months later if the price is better.

  3. I sailed with Princess a while back.  It was great.  Nice staterooms, excellent food and entertainment.  As for destinations, you'll have to pick one that you and your new husband are interested in.  I went to the Mexican Riviera.  It was ok for me, but I don't think it's a honeymoon destination.  Your destination also depends on where you are sailing from.  Is it near home or are you going to fly to the port city?

  4. I took a Princess cruise in the Mediterranean last summer (aboard Emerald Princess) -- it was wonderful.

    Feedback:

Beautiful ship, elegant, lots of space, felt really relaxed: also fantastic poolside Movies Under the Stars screen on deck for showing top films (v romantic in the evening, lying on deck-loungers drinking cocktails!) Nightlife and Lotus spa were two more highlights.

The staff were *so* lovely, smiley and helpful -- we felt amazingly special.

The destinations -- well, I've cruised Caribbean, Med and Indian Ocean so far (not all with Princess) and if I were doing my honeymoon again I'd choose the Med for sure.

    Why?

Just about every port of call is an icon (Barcelona, Rome, Venice, Santorini, Athens just for starters).

    They're all completely different from one another but filled with amazing sights (and cafes, bars and restaurants);

The shopping's fantastic (great if you haven't spent everything you own on the wedding!)

  5. I have sailed on Princess many times to Alaska. Food, service and their handling of the land tour was excellent. I always book  an inside cabin on the higher decks as I only use the cabin to sleep & shower. They like other cruise lines try their very best to be helpful and to make sure everyone is happy. Besides you will be on your HONEYMOON will you really notice the ship ? All the best on BOTH.

  6. i went last year and is fabulous we went from Florida to ocho rios jamaica, cayman island,Cozumel,Bahamas and it was great!

  7. I did a Princess Cruise this past Christmas.  It wasn't bad actually.  I had a good time, even though there were a few things I didn't like.  It's minor.

We went on Crown Princess 7 days cruise to the Southern Caribbean.  We went to St. Thomas, St. Kitts, Aruba, Bonaire, and Grenada.

There are plenty of things to do on the ship, so you cannot get bored.  There are comedy shows nightly, another stage performance in the theather, dancing, and movie under the stars.  The movie under the stars usually showed movies released a few months ago (i.e. Shrek 3, High School Musical 2). You watch the movies outside on the deck on a big screen.

There are many choice of eateries, HOWEVER some of them you will have to pay a cover charge.  It's about 2 or 3 restaurants you have to pay a fee.  There is 2 buffets (Horizon Court, and Cafe Caribe) with 2 sides on each that you can always eat whenever you feel like it.  Me personally, I enjoyed going to it (except for German night with all those hot dogs, and it stink)  because it was alot of variety of food.

What I didn't like was in Bonaire, the boat was set to leave at 1, so I wasn't able to go on a tour.  The town itself seemed nice.  There was a local band playing some good music.  Another thing I hated was that there was that soft drinks, and soda you had to pay for.  The cruise was offering a soda card for $27, but it was unlimited soda.  I end up getting one.  Juice was a charge except in the morning when they served cranberry and orange juice.  The only thing that was free to drink was water, tea, coffee, and unsweetened ice tea that came from the fountain.

Other than those two perks, I had a pretty good time on the cruise.  Staff was excellent, especially 2 of the bartenders, and the gentlemen cleaning my room.

  8. I've been on 8 cruises with princess. My favorite was Alaska with a cruise-tour, Panama canal, and western capitols of Europe. In fact they were all great. Last year I even went on a 29 day cruise From Australia to Los Angeles. The food is exceptional, service is perfect, and the ships are very beautiful. You can even order in advance for flowers to be in your room when you arrive, champagne too. I have always booked several shore excursion on line in advance, because the best ones fill up fast. For me, I need not look at any other cruise line, because princess is perfect for me.

  9. Princess is one of my favorite cruise lines! (the other one being Celebrity)

I have been on seven cruises and this was deffinetely one of my favorites! It was a Caribbean cruise, and I found it to be extremely relaxing.

The people are SO friendly, staff is helpful, food & restaurants are amazing, great excursions, Movies Under The Stars is it's best feature!! (A giant movie screen is above the pool, and at night they put comfy dark red cushions on the lounges along with flannel blankets to keep warm, and play a movie.  you can get popcorn, too.  It is a nice relaxing way to end your day, lounging in the warm caribbean breeze!!)

There aren't very many obnoxious people, and it was a great experience.
