  1. they had angular momentum because the dust and debris was orbiting the sun. as the denser regions were pulled together by gravity they began to rotate faster in the same way a figure skater spins faster when they pull their arms in.  


  2. The same reason water rotates going down the drain, the Coriolis effect, except on a solar level.

  3. It was caused by gravity. If the planet is bigger, it would rotate fast. If the planet is smaller, it would rotate slowly. The planets were made from the gas. When the gas turns into pebbles, the pebbles would collide each other and become into a planet or an astroid.  

  4. It's the  Gravity pull from the sun that  causes the rotation. And as the Solar System ages the rotations will get shorter as the planets get closer to the sun. As one day the sun will super Nova. I hope this helps.
