  1. Long story short, Roman Republic fell due to Its political ineptness and corruption, and the borders wide open.

  3. gee whiz, you do realize that entire libraries are written about this?  You can't get the "Readers Digest" version of ancient history.  The Rise and Fall of Ancient Rome.  I'll try   Chapter 1.  Twins Romulus and Remus (where the name Rome came from).   Chapter 800.  The Goths, Visigoths and p**s** off Anglo Saxons tearing it up on the road, south.   There I gave it a shot.

  4. it declined as their empire expanded so vastly they were not able to control it and the "Roman Citizen" had so many benefits it destroyed them financially as their population grew.
