How was weed discovered?

i feel like it's a stupid question, but i just want to know.

Like, did man create it?

its natural.. just a plant found by man a LONG time ago and when burned the smoke caused them to have a feeling of relaxation

Actually no plant in the universe is really a weed. Actually in sense of mankind Weed is a plant in a wrong place where it is not desired. Suppose you find a cotton plant that has grown with out your intervention in your turmeric crop you will uproot it and throw away as it is of no use there and in addition creates competition for our desired species.

Finally so no question of weed is there, Every plant in the universe has its own specific genotype diversity and we need to conserve them either they are cultivated or wild ones.

I've recently been reading a book 'Cannabis' and it is the history of the plant.

Hemp will have been used initially for it's fibres but it will not have taken long for it's psychoactive properties to become apparent.

It has been used in one form or another for centuries and humans have basically taken it with them where ever they have travelled and settled, this is the reason it can be found all over the world.

It came over very late to europe in it's history but has literally been used for thousands of years (around 5,000 according to the book)

So in theory humans did discover weed because they discovered it's uses.

Weeds were not discovered. They were defined by human beings.  If it's desirable for human beings (like the grass of a beautiful lawn), it's not weed.  But if it's unwanted, it is weed.  Take dandelions for example, it is a common weed in the US.  But in other countries, it is a useful plant.  Its root can be made into a drink that tastes just like coffee, but it's caffeine free.  Very healthy and low in price.  So, in some sense, you are right.  Men "created" weed by calling the unwanted plants weed.

it's naturual man can do things to make the plants produce more THC though THC is the HIGH chemical it all started in india as meditating and spiritual stuff cannibus has been used forever by the indians (native americans) andthe chinese used cannibus in everything up until 150 years ago

weed can be laced with other  drugs and there are different kinds.
