How was your 2nd baby different from your first?

I noticed a difference in my two almost as soon as I found out I was pregnant! My second pregnancy was a breeze compared to my first...no morning sickness or anything.

Deliveries were both VERY easy and fairly quick but my second was only 4 hours as opposed to 7 hours with my first.  No complications.

Now my daughter is almost 21 months old and my son is almost 6 months old and they have TOTALLY different personalities.  My daughter was outgoing and very vocal at 6 months old.  My son is usually quiet and shy.  My daughter never prefered one parent over the other but my son is a Momma's boy all the way.  9 out of 10 times I am the only one he will calm down for.  My daughter didn't sleep through the night till she was about 3 months old but my son has been sleeping through the night since he was 5 weeks old.  He just kinda put himself on his own schedule and sleeps from 930 at night till 8 in the morning.  

My son is also developing his motor skills way sooner than my daughter did.  My daughter didnt hold her own bottle till 4 months, my son did at 2 1/2 months.  My daughter didnt play with toys till about 5 months, my son did at 3.  She didnt sit up till 6 months, he did at 4 months.  She NEVER crawled (on her hands and knees with belly off the floor), she scooted at 8 months and went straight to walking at 10 months. My son has been crawling (hands and knees belly off the floor) since right after he turned 5 months old.

They are just totally different in so many ways.  Even with their growing.  They were virtually the same size at birth..  She was 8 lbs. 6 oz. 20 in.  He was 8 lbs. 7 oz. 21 in.  She only wore newborn size clothes and diapers for a week.  He wore them for a month.  She went into a size 3 diaper at 4 months and my son is still in a size 2 at 6 months.  He actually weighs more than she did at 6 months...like almost 2 pounds more but he is actually smaller than her.  He is solid and thin. She was really chubby.  

Also, the new one I have been worrying about is....by 6 months old my daughter had 4 teeth and my son still has none.  I dont think they are too far off though.  She got hers early, she had her first 2 by 5 months and as of now she just got her 2 year molars.

Its really funny to see how 2 babies you carried inside you for 9 months can be so totally different.

With my second....I felt so much more prepared....and easy going.  I usually knew which cries meant what and I didn't freak out as much when he got sick.

I had two boys and they were different from the date of conception.  My second preg. was nothing like my first and my two boys have totally different personalities.  They are young adults now and get along very well now. The oldest was shy and not as outgoing as the youngest.  I think that is typical of the second tho, they have the older sibling to teach them and to compete with.

Well my first child was full-term and my second was premature (32 weeks gestation). For the most part they're pretty similiar. My youngest is a little more whiny--my oldest barely ever made a sound unless he was tired or hungry. He didn't even cry when he was teething. My youngest has been flip-floppy with his moods because he's teething.

I'll tell you that it does get easier because you're more experienced and you learn what certain cries mean. You're also more prepared as to what to do if your child gets sick because you've been through it already.

At time of delivery, the baby came much faster...The baby was on the way in half the time as my frst baby.

I am still pregnant with my second but this pregnancy is already different. the first one was a breeze, this one is harder, i am sick. Morning sickness all day and its horrible

My 2nd baby is alot calmer, sleeps through the night, and is more vocal than her sis was at 2mos.
