  1. The first cruise i ever went on was the big red boat and i was 3 yrs old.from what i can remember and was told i loved it i have been on 8 sence and have loved everyone a bit more than the one before it. they normally get better as you go but they say your first is the best!

  2. My first cruise was over 12 years ago on  a Norwegian cruise ship that is no longer in service.  I had an inside cabin that was like a closet, no window and paper thin walls.  The bed was like a bunk bed and there was not even a chair in the cabin.  The ship rocked and awayed shortly after we left Miami as it crossed the Gulf Stream headed to the Bahamas.

SO I cruise now in style with a balcony cabin all the time, or a suite.

  3. awesome it was the best vacation i ever had soo much fun the shows were great the food amazing ports of call all great i went with royal caribbean and going again you wont regret it oh yeah the people were super as well never treated so good so get out there make some memories and just have some fun

  4. Smashing!  No literally smashing!  We crashed into a Cuban cargo freighter and sunk it.  My first cruise was in February of 1989 and it was on board the Carnival Celebration, an experience I will never forget.  Nobody was hurt on the Celebration, but five people perished on the freighter.

We had such a wonderful time until then, my husband was not going to let this event ruin any future cruise(s).  A few months later he put me back on a ship.  That cruise I am happy to report was "smooth sailing".  I now sell cruises and have my 14th and 15th cruise booked for this year.  We are also looking into "residency at sea" when the children are done with school.

Cruising is wonderful and is safer then most forms of travel.  I hope you have smooth seas on your voyages.

    Bon Voyage,

    E

  5. I went on the Grand Princess (Princess Line). My lady and I went on shore excursions at each of the ports-of-call.

We also went dancing, attended both formal nights, attended lectures, took lessons on languages, dancing and wines ...The shows were fantastic and much better than I had thought.

    It was a great cruise!

  6. I have been on the Disney Cruise 4 times!!! And its really the best money you could ever spend for the food, rooms, activities, movie theater, entertainment, travel, clubs, great childcare, ect. The disney cruise lines shows have been rated #1 in cruise line shows! My boyfriend whos not all disneyish like me even liked them :)

The best thing about disney is their private island Castaway Cay! They have an adult beach and serve mahi mahi and drinks and NO KIDS! lol

Disney has always been great in customer service so on their cruise line its no exception, they meet your every need!

  7. My first cruise was a funfilled experience.  I cruised with Carnival Miracle.  There were shows everyday and were good. The staff was very friendly and funny.  The waiters knew my first name the first day.  It has a waterslide and a few pools. The food, especially the desert, was delicious.

  8. My first cruise really was terrible.  It was a troop carrier from the USA to Bremen, Germany.  Guys were seasick and throwing up everywhere.  The beds were 5 high with only inches between you and the bed above you.  It was hot and not air conditioned.

I have since been on Celebrity cruises.  A difference like between heaven and h**l.

  9. Well seeing as I was four, we went on the Disney Cruise Line and it was great for all ages....however if there are no kids in tow, pick a different cruise line! As for the shows, they were so great we felt as though it was Broadway quality. The kid facilities are great! The people treated us like we were the royal family of England! I would recommend it IF you love Disney or you are bringing kids!

  10. We just came back from R.C. Serenade of the Seas (Eastern Caribbean).  It is a great cruise because in 6 days you get to visit 5 ports, so we sailed at night and visit around the islands by day.  On the ship we went to the pools, played mini golf, went to the shows, ate, went to the spa, etc, etc.  It was nicer than I thought and the food was very very good.

  11. Awesome.  Best money I ever spent on myself.  Cruiseline was Holland America (they don't look all that "pretty" from the outside, but inside and throughout the whole cruise, it's 5 star); went to Alaska .  Started out in Vancouver, Canada; ported in Juneau; Skagway; and Ketchican.  In Juneau I went kayaking at Mendenhall Glacier; Skagway I went to the old gold mining camps; Ketchikan I went to the Indian Village.  Shows were better than I expected (I was 38 when I went and I thought they'd be shows for 65 year olds).  All in all a most pleasant experience.  I'd do it again in a heartbeat!!!!

  12. amazingly, i'm 12 yrs. old and have never been on a cruise

  13. West Coast cruise several years ago on the Norwegian Sun.  The food, entertainment, and free classes were great.  The shows were better than expected.  Walked every day with a group of staff members and vacationers.  Basketball, swimming, library, fitness room, casino, and shopping were all used.  Stopped twice for shore trips.  Staff and vacationers were usually friendly.

Planning a second and long cruise for this fall.
