How was your wisdom teeth extraction experience? ?

its a great excuse to miss work or school because it sounds much more painful than it usually is. I had all four removed at once. Didn't hurt until novocaine wore off then it was pretty sore for several days. I had lots of slushies from sonic (ate them with a spoon) My dentist is awesome.

The treatment DOESNOT hurt as one is anaesthetised locally, so dont worry. The dentist would ensure he starts the treatment only after the entire area is numb.

Also from ur side u could help by letting him know if the numbness has set in or if u r doubtful that there is still little sensation anywhere.

I got 3 of my wisdom tooth removed as they seemed to grow in the wrong direction, as a consequence of which I had to suffer severe infection and its perfectly fine now after the removal.

And yes, my dentist prescribed an entire course of pain killers to be taken over the week after the treatment. So make sure u have real good pain killers, trust me u wont even feel slightest of pain.

My grandmother kept me drugged up for the first 24 hours and when I woke up I felt great!  Drugs are the answer for this particular problem!  She also kept ice on my face as well.  I had no bruising or swelling at all.

i was in the usmc so i had them yanked at a naval base hospital where, by the way, they don't put you out!

the doctor -a commander- was cool but nothing gentle about him.i could actually hear the teeth breaking and crunching!

his assistant was a beautiful young woman who knew i was just about to panic so she held my right hand to her chest- in a motherly fashion!- and i can honestly say she alone kept me in that chair. i'll always remember her for that.

up to that point i thought i was a hard charging marine who took one in the leg but that was a piece of cake to the teeth yankin'!!

great! I had all four out in the chair but I was in hospital with an anethitist, I don't remember a thing the sedation was great. stock up on pumpkin soup and mash I lived on that for a week

I didn't feel a thing!...until the next day ha ha ha ha ha!!!!

they hardly have a root system, they pop out easy

Not too bad.  I had sodium pentathol for a while, and he pulled all four at once.  Healed nicely as a clean pull was acheived.  Good Luck.
