  1. 'C' form is a concessional sales tax form issued under the Central sales tax for purchase of goods from outside the state i.e. inter-state transaction. You will have to submit details of inter-state purchases to the commercial tax department and get the 'C' Form book issued after being stamped by the sales tax department.

'C' Form details to be filled is party's name, address, CST Tin no., item purchased, invoice/order details, amount.

Rate for CST against 'c' form can be obtained from schedule of CST. Normally it is 2% against C Form (w.e.f. 01/06/20008)

  2. Which state are you in?

    Have your state enacted VAT?

You can fill the `C` form provided by the sales tax department from the purchase register, maintained by you and the department will affix their seal, while issuing the `C` form.  Enter the traders name and address, invoice no, date, quantity and the amount.

The rate of tax is in the table published by the commercial tax department.  Check it, before you fill up the form.
