  1. Do you mean bumper or side line bumper?   What?  Did you mean streamlined hull?


  2. Not sure what your question is but I will take a stab with this. I have made fenders by putting about a pound of gravel in the bottom of a 2 liter drink bottle and using a can of Great Stuff to finish filling it. One can of Great Stuff will make more than 2 dozen fenders. Great Stuff is an insulation product that can be bought at Home Depot, Lowe's, Menard's and others home improvement stores. Then all you need is some cord tied to the top. Cheap but serviceable and if you lose it, you haven't lost a lot. Total cost , about $4 per dozen.

    there are flat foam fenders...quite thick

    there are fenders(old school) made of knotted rope

    think of the purpose...to cushion a boat from the dock...it must be fairly strong or resiliant...then design away.
