  1. Tea bags water and sugar.

This recipe is for iced tea.

I use luzianne teabags. 7 of the regular size (or 4 family size or 1 gallon size) per gallon of water.

Pour 1/2 gallon of water to boiling and pour into a gallon pitcher, drop in the teabags and let steep for about 10 minutes.  Squeeze the water out of the bags and add 1 cup of sugar.

You can also add the sugar before the tea bags are added, but they will absorb some of the sweetness. You use less sugar by adding it after it's steeped.

Add 1/2 gallon of cold water to the pitcher and stir.  Taste the tea and if you need more sugar, it's okay to add it after the cold water, just stir untill the extra sugar is dissolved.

For hot tea 1 teabag and 8 oz of boiling water. Steep for about 5 minutes. Add lemon, sugar or milk to taste.

  2. For sweet tea....and ive been told i make really good tea...get a 3 quart sauce pan fill with water 3/4 way up and let it boil.  When it boils put in 1 and 1/4 cups sugar (1 cup of sugar if you dont like it to be really sweet) , stir well. bring to second boil, turn stove off. Put in 8 teabags (if teabags are namebrand like lipton or luzianne then use 7 teabags) , cover for like 30 min. Fill up a 1 gallon jug halfway with cold water, pour in tea careful to hold the teabags in the pan. If not filled up all the way pour a little more water in the pan with tea bags swoosh around a bit and pour into jug until full. Great sweet tea!!!!!!!
