Question:

How we know this elephant weight?

i was asked a question by my physics teacher, it is as a conjecture question as he said: there is an elephant is put on the first side of the balance, and on the other side nothing is put.

  1. One could measure the force exerted by the elephant upon the balance, then use Newtons second law.

    F=ma

    in this case a is accleration due to gravity, hence, ma is the weight of the elephant.
