Make sure all the taps are tightly close and no water leaking from it.

Fully load your washing machine until max or almost max. Don't just wash one or two clothes, it is not only waste water, but electric as well.

Manually wash your dish,don't use dishwasher, as the machine consumes more water.

The first thing is to stop all leaks especially drops wasted due to bad fittings or washers inside the taps.

You can reuse water where ever possible like waste water from cooking can be used for watering plants.

Instead of washing the floor you can get it wiped with wet cloth this saves a lot of water.

Normally we tend to leave tap open while shaving and brushing and this should be stopped.

If you are using water air coolers for summers remember to shut them off if you are leaving the room.

If there is lot of water problem you can take bucket bath instead of shower bath.

You can collect all waste water in a vessel / drum and this can be used for some other purpose.

I take bath with minimum water. Approx. 5 lt. is suffient. In evening, I use only 1 lt. for light bath. Keep a plastic drum and waste water can be collected in it and can be used for cooler, floor cleaning etc. Waste water can be used for plants etc.
