  1. If I'm to understand the conversation my class had on this subject in Biology, it's because webbed legs became a good characteristic to have, and was passed on because the frogs who could swim well would have better chances of finding mates, and surviving in general from predators. So it got passed on so a frog can be a faster swimmer mainly.
